The Great Connector covers the harrowing events of the Ebola crisis that gripped Liberia, and West Africa, in 2014-2015, chronicling the collaborative efforts of Liberian health officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to combat the spread of the deadly virus. Told through the eyes of Phillip Talboy, a senior CDC contact tracer, the story exposes the courageous effots of the men and women on the front lines – in particular doctors, nurses, and aid workers – and the simple faith of those that lived through it.
